Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense General Commander-in-Chief at the Ministry of Interior inaugurated the International Training Course for Firefighting and Rescue organized by the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO) and hosted by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Academy. The course witnessed the participation of civil defense elite personnel representing 10 countries namely, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Russia, South Korea, Mongolia, Armenia, Malaysia and Georgia.
The course aims to provide the trainees advanced skills and knowledge in firefighting through the use of similes and simulations of fires. It also aims to exchange experiences and coordinate efforts in the areas of prevention and safety between participants and the International Organization for Civil Protection and Civil Defense.
The course program includes training on advanced fire suppression techniques by using simulation and flash jump devices, which is the highest stage of ignition development, as well as developing the skills of trainees to deal with fires of various kinds.
The opening was attended by Colonel Muhammad Abdullah Al-Takawi, Director of Media Affairs of the General Command of the Civil Defense, Lt. Col. Adel Al-Samri, Director of the Academy of Civil Defense, and a number of officers.
