Lieutenant General H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and Head of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, has reviewed the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Strategy 2035 whose implementation is supervised by the Authority.
The review covered the various initiatives and projects carried out, as well as the progress made in the multi-sectoral programs included in the strategy through which the Authority focuses on four main areas, namely health and nutrition, child protection, family support, and early education and care.
This came during a virtual meeting between the Ministry of the Interior and the Authority in the presence of their Highnesses along with a number of staff from the Ministry and the Authority. Achievements of the Authority in 2020 were discussed, especially with regard to the child protection program, and the Authority’s efforts to raise awareness and carry out programs aimed at encouraging children, families and communities to adopt non-violent behaviors, and provide official contact channels to report cases. All segments of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabineed to know about and have more confidence in such channel. Programs also aim to enhance early detection capabilities, and coordinate efforts between the various stakeholders to provide comprehensive care services at standard levels. In addition, efforts are made to build the capacities of qualified human resources in child protection, enhance local law enforcement and support endeavorsrelated to developing policies and research on child protection.
