The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal Investigation Department, held a workshop via video conference titled General rules in human trafficking crimes. The workshop aims to raise awareness of the society about the dangers of this crime that developed into one of the most prevalent crimes in the world.

The workshop was presented by Major Dr. Abdulkareem Mohamed Ali Al Balushi, Head of Legal Affairs Department of the General Directorate of Federal Criminal Police. He addressed the concept and types of human trafficking and and the reasons that gave rise to its recent spread, as well as some important facts and figures published by international organizations on this crime.
