The Department of Private Security Companies Regulation at the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior launched an initiative to qualify citizens to work as private security supervisors. This comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Emiratisation and Human Resources and in coordination with a number of partners, with the aim of developing capabilities and enhancing the role of local security supervisors in the private security sector.

In the first phase, 27 staff members completed their training and they were distributed to work in companies specialized in guarding and private security. Courses are to be held continually as part of this initiative to ensure it achieves its objectives.
