Lt. Gen. Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, witnessed in Dubai Police Officers Club, the graduation ceremony of trainees in 4 specialized counterterrorism courses: the special weapons and tactics course SWAT 1.2 No. 7 , the Armed Response Course 1.1 No. 17 , the General Instructor Course for Response Teams No. (1), and the General Instructor Course for Response Teams No. (2) supervised by the National Special Police Institute of the Federal Special Police Department-71. The courses ran for months with the participation of different police general HQs across the UAE.

The ceremony was attended by Maj. Gen. Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, Brig. Gen. Musallam Mohamed Al Rashdi from the Ministry of Defense- Presidential Guards, Brig. Mohamed Hamid Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior, Brig. Gen. Dr. Ali Salem Al Teneji, Director General of Federal Central Operations, and Col. Abdullah Saeed Al Mosafri, Director of the Federal Special Police Department-71 and a several other senior officers from the Ministry of Interior.

The courses featured several theoretical and practical topics for the trainees, aiming to enhance their knowledge and field competencies as well as police sciences. Trainees received training on physical fitness, tactical shooting and advanced shooting skills using night vision devices. They were also trained on several security scenarios and maintaining the necessary readiness to effectively carry out any tasks they are asked to do for the service of their homeland.

As the ceremony drew to a close, Al Shafar handed out awards and certificates to the top-performing graduates.
