Federal Law No. (11) of 2009 concerning Martial Law

Term Description
Federal Law No. (11) of 2009 concerning Martial Law
Martial Law a set of exceptional rules and procedures taken by the State in emergency circumstances; and allows the State to temporarily suspend all or some of the applicable laws in order to ward off the dangers affecting the State.
Executive Authority the body responsible for overseeing the legislative, judicial and executive affairs in the State upon announcing the implementation of Martial Law; which shall be defined by a federal decree required for declaring Martial Law
Courts-Martial temporary courts established by orders of the Executive Authority to look into the crimes committed under Martial Law; it is of two types (General Court-Martial, and Special Court-Martial).

Term Description
Federal Law No. (37) of 2006 On Private Security Companies
Competent Authority a Department or Section at the Ministry or the General Directorate of Police who is competent in the handling, supervision and follow-up with the work of private security companies.
Company the security company, institution, or any government agency that provides security service either independently or along with other activities.
Training Institute the security training institute, school, or center approved and licensed by the Ministry or the General Directorate of Police.

Student A student, who is accepted at one of the Police colleges, institutes, academies, universities or Higher Colleges of Technology; and obtains a two-year diploma.
Medical Committee The Committee provided for under the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

Buildings all buildings used for residential or office or storing purposes in the State.
